The main event of Saturday’s Bellator 167 will be a rematch in the bantamweight division as Darrion Caldwell will look to even up the score against Joe Taimanglo as they will meet inside the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma.
The first meeting between Caldwell and Taimanglo came earlier this year at Bellator 159 and a victory by Caldwell would have secured a title shot against current Bellator bantamweight champion Eduardo Dantas. However, Taimanglo scored a come from behind submission victory in the third round and Bellator decided to go a rematch.
During this week’s edition of “The MMA Report Podcast,” Caldwell was a guest on the podcast to preview his rematch against Taimanglo and explained why he moved his training to Alliance MMA.
