With Matt Bessette appearing on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series and now being on the sidelines due to an injury suffered in his defeat against Kurt Holobaugh, CES MMA will crown an interim champion next month when Saul Almeida meets Pedro Gonzalez at CES MMA 45.
Almeida (19-8) snapped a three fight losing streak in March at CES MMA 42 as he submitted Josh LaBerge in the third round. He is 6-3 in his last nine fights and three of those wins have come by stoppage.
