Mirko Cro Cop is slated to make his Bellator debut at the end of next month at Bellator 200 against Roy Nelson and the heavyweight fighter submitted an out-of-competition drug test today in Croatia.
Mohegan Tribe Department of Athletic Regulations Director and Association of Boxing Commissions and Combative Sports President Mike Mazzulli confirmed the drug test this afternoon to The MMA Report.
Cro Cop is among several fighters that are scheduled to compete at Bellator 200 on May 25 in London that have submitted out-of-competition drug testing to the Mohegan Tribe Department of Athletic Regulations, who will be regulating the event for Bellator. Mazzulli recently confirmed to The MMA Report that the drug test results for Gegard Mousasi, Roy Nelson, Phil Davis, Michael Page, and David Rickels have all come back negative.
This is another example of how drug testing is taking place in Bellator. Now if you are not aware, Bellator hired the Mohegan Tribe Department of Athletic Regulations and Mike Mazzulli in 2016 to regulate the promotions international events and the drug testing for these events. Since Bellator made this move, I have reported in the past of fighters being drug tested in-competition and out-of-competition by the Mohegan Tribe Department of Athletic Regulations and this drug testing has taken place for fighters living in and outside of the United States.
