Marvin Vettori vs. Karl Roberson scratched from tonight’s UFC on ESPN+ 29

Tonight’s UFC on ESPN+29 card has lost a fight as the UFC announced this morning that the scheduled bout between Marvin Vettori and Karl Roberson has been scratched following Roberson being pulled from the event due to medical issues.

In a statement released by the UFC, the promotion stated that the medical issues that caused Roberson to be pulled from the event are unrelated to COVID-19.

“Due to medical issues unrelated to COVID-19 after his weight cut, Karl Roberson has been pulled from his Wednesday bout with Marvin Vettori at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville,” the UFC statement said. “The UFC Fight Night card, headlined by the bout between Anthony Smith and Glover Teixeira, will proceed as scheduled with 10 bouts.”
