A bantamweight bout has been added to UFC 166 in Houston on October 19th as George Roop will face Francisco Rivera.
The bout was recently added to the UFC 166 fight card and the bout will take place on the preliminary card.
UFC 166 takes place on October 19th from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas and will be headlined by Cain Velasquez defending the UFC heavyweight title in his trilogy bout with former champion Junior dos Santos.
Roop (14-9-1) has won back to back fights since returning to the bantamweight division. His most recent victory came at UFC 160 when he defeated Brian Bowles by TKO in the second round. It was his fourth career win by TKO/KO and three of his last four wins have come by TKO/KO.
Rivera (9-2, 1NC) originally entered the UFC in 2011 but was released from the promotion after losing his debut. After winning back to back fights outside of the UFC, he returned and has gone 2-0, 1NC. He most recently defeated Edwin Figueroa by TKO and it was his sixth career win by TKO/KO.
