Brandon Thatch made his UFC debut on Wednesday and wasted little time in defeating Justin Edwards in the first round by TKO.
The fight opened with a high pace as Edwards came forward and Thatch landed a kick that stunned Edwards. Thatch went on the attack as Edwards attempted to recover from the kick.
Thatch would not give Edwards any chance to recover and the fight was stopped by the referee after Edwards was not defending himself.
Thatch (10-1) has won all of his fights in the first round and seven of those wins have come in less than 90 seconds. Edwards (8-3) is now 2-3 in the UFC and this is the first time he has been defeated by stoppage.
