Stephen Thompson vs. Besam Yousef added to UFC 154

A welterweight bout has been added to the UFC 154 fight card on November 17th as Stephen Thompson will take on Besam Yousef.

The fight announcement was made on “UFC Tonight” last night on FUEL TV and the bout will take place on the preliminary card.

Thompson (6-1) is a training partner of welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and is coming off his first professional lost at UFC 145 to Matt Brown. Prior to his lost to Brown, he had started his career with six straight wins and all the wins were by knockout or submission.

Yousef (6-1) started his MMA career with six straight wins before being signed by the UFC earlier this year. He made his UFC debut at UFC on FUEL TV 2 and was defeated by Simeon Thoresen in the second round by submission.

UFC 154 takes place on November 17th from the Bell Centre in Montreal and is expected to be headlined by a welterweight title unification bout as welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre meets interim champion Carlos Condit.
