A battle of top UFC welterweights is set for UFC on FOX 9 on December 14th in California as former interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit faces Matt Brown.
UFC officials confirmed the bout after it was reported by Fox Sports on early Wednesday afternoon.
UFC on FOX 9 will come from the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California on December 14th and will be headlined by Anthony Pettis defending the UFC lightweight title against Josh Thomson.
Condit (29-7) recently snapped a two fight losing streak as he defeated Martin Kampmann by TKO in the fourth round at UFC Fight Night 27. Four of his last five wins have come by TKO/KO including knockout of the night bonuses against Dan Hardy and Dong Hyun Kim.
Brown (18-11) is currently on a six fight winning streak and his last four wins have come by TKO/KO. His most recent victory came at UFC Fight Night 27 against Mike Pyle and he won the knockout of the night bonus. It was his second straight fight night bonus as he won the fight on the night bonus for his win over Jordan Mein at UFC on FOX 7.
