Canadian lightweight John Makdessi won his third straight fight as he defeated Renee Forte by knockout in the first round. 
The two lightweights exchange strikes for the entire bout which only lasted 121 seconds as Makdessi landing a right hand that dropped Forte face first to the mat and finished the fight with strikes on the ground.
Makdessi (12-2) has now won five of his seven fights in the UFC and this is his first win by knockout since UFC 129 when he defeated Kyle Watson with a spinning back fist.
