The final preliminary card bout of UFC 165 was a lightweight bout and Myles Jury remained undefeated as he defeated Mike Ricci by split decision.
The fight would open up with a length feeling out process with each fighter trying to figure out their timing. Jury would land the biggest punch of the round but Ricci was able to stay on his feet. Jury was able to get the fight to the ground in the final two minutes of the round, but struggled to mount any offense.
The second round would be a striking battle with neither fighter gaining an advantage in the fight. They mainly through leg kicks and Jury attempted to get a takedown at the end of the round, but he was unable to finish the takedown.
In the final round, Jury was able to get the fight to the ground and keep the fight there for the majority of the round. Neither fighter was able to mount any significant offense and the fight would be decided by the judges.
Two of the three judges scored the fight for Jury (13-0) and he is now 4-0 in the UFC.
