Hacran Dias out of UFC Fight Night 34 co-main event against Tatsuya Kawajiri and UFC searching for replacement

An undisclosed injury has forced Hacran Dias out of his UFC Fight Night 34 co-main event bout against Tatsuya Kawajiri and the UFC is searching for a new opponent for Kawajiri. UFC Fight Night 34 Poster

The UFC confirmed the injury to Dias on Tuesday evening and the injury had been reported by various media outlets previously.

UFC Fight Night 34 will take place on January 4th from the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore and will be headlined by a welterweight bout as Tarec Saffiedine meets Hyun Gyu Lim.

Dias (21-2-1) was going to be looking for his second win in the UFC. This is the second time in his UFC career that he has pulled out of a fight due to an injury, as he previously pulled out of his fight against Chad Mendes at UFC on FX 6 last year.

Kawajiri (32-7-2) has won five in a row since his exit from Strikeforce and three of those fights came in Dream. His last fight took place at the end of last year when he defeated former UFC fighter Michihiro Omigawa by unanimous decision at Dream 18.
