A scheduled heavyweight bout has been scratched from the UFC on FOX 10 preliminary card as Oleksiy Oliynyk suffered an injury and his bout afainst Jared Rosholt has been removed from the card.
UFC officials announced the fight cancellation on Wednesday and the fight card will move forward with ten fights.
UFC on FOX 10 takes place on January 25th from the United Center in Chicago and will be headlined by a lightweight bout as former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson meets former Strikeforce lightweight champion Josh Thomson.
Oliynyk and Rosholt were scheduled to meet each other in one of the six preliminary bouts on Fox Sports 1. In today’s announcement, the UFC did not state which online preliminary bout will be moved up to the televised preliminary card to replace Oliynyk-Rosholt.
