The UFC will be heading to Baltimore for the first time as the organization announced on Friday that UFC 172 will come from the Baltimore Arena on April 26th.
The card will be headlined by a title fight as Jon Jones will defend the UFC light heavyweight title against Glover Teixeira and tickets for the event will go on sale February 7th.
Jones (19-1) has been the light heavyweight champion since 2011 and this will mark his seventh title defense. He is coming off a decision win at UFC 165 against Alexander Gustafsson, which is considered one of the best fights in the UFC this year.
Teixeira (22-2) is currently on a twenty fight winning streak and five of those wins have come in the UFC. His last two wins have come by stoppage in the first round, with his most recent victory coming at UFC Fight Night 28 as he defeated Ryan Bader by knockout.
