Ross Pearson has pulled out of his UFC Fight Night 37 bout against Melvin Guillard with a knee injury and replacing him in the bout will be Michael Johnson.
UFC officials announced the change on Thursday morning and the new bout will remain in the co-main event slot on the fight card.
UFC Fight Night 37 takes place on March 8th from the O2 Arena in London and will be headlined by a light heavyweight bout as Alexander Gustafsson meets Jimi Manuwa.
Johnson (14-8) was a finalist during The Ultimate Fighter 12 and has won five of his last seven fights. After dropping back to back fights to Myles Jury and Reza Madadi, he has won back to back fights against Joe Lauzon and Gleison Tibau. His win over Tibau came at UFC 168 by knockout and it was his first win by knockout since his 2012 win against Danny Castillo.
Guillard (31-12-2, 2NC) went unbeaten in 2013 (1-0, 1NC) after losing three of his four fights in 2012. His first fight of 2013 took place at UFC on FOX 8 and he defeated Mac Danzig by knockout in the second round. He won the knockout of the night bonus and it was his third time he has won this bonus. He returned at UFC Fight Night 30 against Pearson and the fight was declared a no contest after Guillard landed an illegal knee.
