A welterweight bout that was initially scheduled for UFC Fight Night 34 earlier this month has been rescheduled for UFC 172 on April 26th in Baltimore as Tarec Saffiedine will meet Jake Ellenberger.
The fight booking was confirmed by UFC officials on Friday night and the fight will be one of the five fights on the pay-per-view.
UFC 172 will take place from the Baltimore Arena on April 26th and will be headlined by Jon Jones defending the UFC light heavyweight title against Glover Teixeira.
Saffiedine (15-3) was the last Strikeforce welterweight champion and defeated Hyun Gyu Lim in his UFC debut earlier this month. It was his fifth straight victory and all of those wins have come by decision.
Ellenberger (29-7) has been in the UFC since 2009 and has won eight of his last ten fights. He is 2-2 in his last four fights and one of those victories came at UFC 158 against Nate Marquardt, which he won the fight in the first round by knockout.
