A welterweight bout will headline the UFC Fight Night 40 card on May 10th in Cincinnati as Matt Brown will look for his seventh straight victory against Erick Silva.
The fight booking was initially reported by Fox Sports and was later confirmed by the UFC.
UFC Fight Night 40 takes place from the U.S. Bank Arena on May 10th and tickets for the event will go on sale on March 21st.
Brown (18-11) will fight in his home state for the first time since 2009, which was a TKO victory over Pete Sell at UFC 96. During his recent winning streak, five of his wins have come by TKO/KO and his most recent win came in August against Mike Pyle.
Silva (16-4, 1NC) is 3-2 in his last five fights and has won a fight night bonus in four of those fights. His most recent appearance in the octagon came last month as he defeated Takenori Sato at UFC Fight Night 36 and he has not won back to back fights since entering the UFC in 2011.
