UFC 171took place on Saturday in Dallas and the fight night bonuses went to Johny Hendricks, Robbie Lawler, Ovince St-Preux.
The bonuses were announced by UFC President Dana White following the event and each bonus is $50,000.
The fight of the night went to Hendricks and Lawler for their five round battle for the vacant welterweight title. Hendricks won the first two rounds before Lawler came back to win the third and fourth round. In the final round, Hendricks was able to land several strikes and scored a takedown that scored the fight for him.
For Hendricks, this is the fourth straight fight that he has won a fight night bonus and the last three bonuses have been for the fight of the night. Lawler has now won two fight night bonuses since coming back to the UFC with his last bonus coming at UFC 157 as he won the knockout of the night bonus against Josh Koscheck.
The performances of the night went to St-Preux and Bermudez. St-Preux defeated Nikita Krylov by submission in the first round with a Von flue choke and Bermudez dominated Jimy Hettes on the preliminary card to win his sixth straight fight. While this is the first fight night bonus for St-Preux, Bermudez has now won four fight night bonuses in his seven UFC fights.
