The main event for UFC 174 on June 14th in Vancouver is now set as flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson will make his next flyweight title defense against Ali Bagautinov.
The fight announcement was made official by the UFC on Wednesday afternoon.
UFC 174 will come from Rogers Centre on June 14th and ticket information will be announced shortly by the UFC.
Johnson (19-2-1) is coming off a knockout victory over Joseph Benavidez at UFC on FOX 9 and this will be his third title defense since winning the inaugural title in 2012. It was his second straight title defense to come by stoppage and he has gone 5-0-1 in his six UFC flyweight bouts.
Bagautinov (13-2) was signed by the UFC last year and has gone 3-0 in the organization. All three of his fights in the UFC have gone to the third round and he is coming off a decision victory against John Lineker at UFC 169. Overall, he has won his last eleven fights and five of those victories have come in the first round.
