Bellator 118 took place on Friday night at the Ovation Hall inside the Revel Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey and the card was headlined by Joe Warren winning the interim bantamweight title against Rafael Silva by unanimous decision. 
According to Nielsen sources, Bellator 118’s preliminary live viewership landed at 701,000 total viewers and this is up 13 percent from Bellator 117’s preliminary viewership number of 617,000.
The peak of the broadcast came during the main event between Warren and Silva with 1,022,000 viewers. This is the fourth time that the peak has been over 1,000,000 and this peak number is up nearly 12 percent from Bellator 117’s peak of 913,000.
With the viewership from Friday night, the average audience of this season is now 685,000 and this is above the season nine Friday night average of 652,000.
When it came to the competition on cable, the night was won by playoff games in the NBA and NHL. The top two cable shows on Friday were NBA games on ESPN, with the first game drawing 3.2 million and the second one scoring 4.2 million. The NHL playoff game on NBCSN that started at 10 p.m. ET was the fourth largest viewership of the night and had just under 2 million viewers.
