Stefan Struve will return to the octagon this summer as he will meet Matt Mitrione at UFC 175 on July 5th at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
The fight booking was announced by UFC officials on late Wednesday evening.
UFC 175 will come from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on July 5th and is scheduled to be headlined by Chris Weidman defending the UFC middleweight title against former light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida.
Struve (25-6) has been out of action since last year due to a leaking aortic valve and had an enlarged heart. He recently returned to training and talked about his health issue during last night’s edition of UFC Tonight.
Mitrione (7-3) is coming off a performance of the night at The Ultimate Fighter China Finale in March as he defeated Shawn Jordan by knockout in the first round. He has won two of his last three fights and both of those wins have come by knockout in the first round.
