UFC Fight Night 40 took place on Saturday night at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati and the fight night bonuses went to Matt Brown, Erick Silva, and Johnny Eduardo.
The bonuses were announced by UFC President Dana White at the post fight press conference and each bonus is $50,000.
Brown won the fight of the night bonus with Silva and also won a performance of the night bonus for his third round victory over Silva. This marks the third straight fight that Brown has won a fight night bonus and will get get a bonus check of $100,000.
The other performance of the night bonus went to Eduardo, who upset former bantamweight title challenger Eddie Wineland. He was a 10 to 1 underdog against Wineland and scored a knockout in the first round. It was his first fight in nearly two years and he has now won back to back fights after losing his UFC debut.
