After winning his first two fights in Bellator, light heavyweight Tom DeBlass has signed a long term contract extension with Bellator.Tom DeBlass

Bellator announced the new contract with DeBlass on Thursday.

DeBlass (9-2) came out of a short retirement in 2013 and made his Bellator debut against Carlos Brooks at Bellator 95. He would win the fight at the end of the second round due to a doctor stoppage and returned in November at Bellator 108 and defeated Jason Lambert by knockout.

Prior to signing this long term extension with Bellator, DeBlass had one fight left on his existing deal with the organization. The New Jersey based fighter stated in a press release on his contract extension that he is happy to remain with Bellator.

“I really feel at home here at Bellator and I appreciate what the promotion is doing,” DeBlass said. “I love fighting, and I have never felt better during my career. I have a great relationship with Bellator, they take care of me, and now with this new deal, it’s time for me to show them I’m one of the best fighters on the roster.”

DeBlass is currently recovering from a toe injury suffered in training and his next fight in Bellator is unknown at this time.
