A lightweight bout is the latest addition to the UFC 176 card on August 2nd in Los Angeles as Ultimate Fighter 13 winner Tony Ferguson will meet Team Alpha Male’s Danny Castillo.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Wednesday afternoon.
UFC 176 will come from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California and will be headlined by a title rematch as Jose Aldo defends the featherweight title against Chad Mendes.
Ferguson (15-3) has won back to back fights after dropping his first fight in the UFC against Michael Johnson in 2012. His last two wins have come by stoppage in the first round and his most recent win came last month against Katsunori Kikuno at UFC 173.
Castillo (17-6) entered the UFC in 2011 following the merger between the UFC and WEC. Since entering the UFC, he has a record of 7-3 and he is coming off a knockout win against Charlie Brenneman at UFC 172.
