The first women’s strawweight bout in the UFC will take place on July 16th in Atlantic City at UFC Fight Night 45 as Claudia Gadelha will meet Tina Lahdemaki.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Wednesday.
UFC Fight Night Atlantic City will come from the Ovation Hall inside the Revel Casino on July 16th and will be headlined by Donald Cerrone meeting Jim Miller in a five round lightweight bout.
Gadelha (11-0) comes to the UFC through Invicta FC and six of her eleven wins have come by submission. In her only fight in Invicta FC, she defeated Ayaka Hamasaki by TKO in the third round and two of her last three wins have come by TKO.
Lahdemaki (5-0) has been competing professionally since 2010 and her last two wins have come by submission. Her last fight took place in November of last year as he defeated Karla Benitez by technical submission in the first round.
