Michael Johnson has pulled out of his UFC on FOX 12 bout against Josh Thomson due to an injury and taking his place in the bout will be Bobby Green.
UFC officials announced the change on Friday.
UFC on FOX 12 will come from the SAP Center in San Jose on July 26th and will be headlined by a number one contender bout in the welterweight division as former title challenger Robbie Lawler meets Matt Brown.
Green (22-5) was scheduled to meet Abel Trujillo at UFC Fight Night 47 and a new opponent for Trujillo is expected to be announced soon. Green is currently on a seven fight winning streak and two of his three wins in the UFC have come by stoppage.
Thomson (20-6, 1NC) is coming off a controversial split decision defeat against former UFC champion Benson Henderson at UFC on FOX 10. Prior to fighting Henderson, he won the knockout of the night bonus at UFC on FOX 7 against former title challenger Nate Diaz.
