Brandon Thatch withdraws from UFC Fight Night 49 bout against Jordan Mein due to fractured toe

A highly anticipated welterweight bout has been scratched from the UFC Fight Night 49 as Brandon Thatch has been forced to withdrawal from his fight against Jordan Mein due to a fractured toe.UFC Fight Night 49

Thatch announced the news on his Twitter account on Saturday and the UFC has not announced if Mein will remain on the card with a new opponent.

UFC Fight Night 49 will come from the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 23rd and will be headlined by a lightweight bout as former champion Benson Henderson meets Rafael dos Anjos.

Thatch was an injury replacement to face Mein, who was initially booked to meet Thiago Alves. Thatch released a graphic image of his toe on Twitter and the full image can be viewed by clicking the picture below.
