The UFC has added two new fights to the UFC Fight Night 56 fight card in Brazil as Warlley Alves meets Alan Jouban in a welterweight bout and Caio Magalhaes faces Trevor Smith in a middleweight bout.
Both fight bookings were recently added to the fight card.
UFC Fight Night 56 is expected to come from the Ginasio Municipal Tancredo Neves in Uberlandia, Minas Gerais, Brazil on November 8th and will be headlined by a light heavyweight bout as Mauricio “Shogun” Rua meets Jimi Manuwa.
Alves (7-0) won The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3 middleweight tournament and is dropping down to the welterweight division in this bout. Four of his seven wins have come by submission and two of those have come by guillotine choke. Jouban (10-2) is currently on a three fight winning streak and won his UFC debut against Seth Baczynski in August. Seven of his ten wins have come by TKO/KO and four of those wins have come in the first round.
Magalhaes (8-1) has won three in a row since losing his UFC debut in 2012. Two of his three wins in the UFC have come by stoppage and is coming off a first round TKO victory against Luke Zachrich at UFC on FOX 11. Smith (12-5) is coming off a decision win at UFC Fight Night 46 against Tor Troeng and he has gone 2-2 in the UFC. Three of his four fights in the UFC have gone to the decision and he won the fight of the night bonus in his UFC debut against Ed Herman.
