The UFC on FOX 4 preliminary card will start at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT on FUEL TV with six fights and the first fight will be in the flyweight division.
The fight fight will feature two fighters making their UFC debut as former Tachi Palace Fights Flyweight and bantamweight champion Ulysses Gomez (9-2) takes on John Moraga (10-1).
Moraga was scheduled to meet Ian McCall, but McCall had to pull out of the fight with an injury and the UFC put Gomez into the fight.
Gomez enters the UFC on a two fight winning streak and was the Tachi Palace Fights Bantamweight champion. He is a submission specialist with seven of his nine victories coming by submission and his last two wins have come by submission.
After winning the first ever Tachi Palace Fights Flyweight title, he left the organization and was a participant in the first ever Bellator Fighting Championship bantamweight tournament. He won his quarterfinal bout by split decision, but had to pull out of the tournament due to a staph infection.
Just like Gomez, Moraga is a submission specialist with five of his ten victories coming by submission. He is currently on a four fight losing streak, after losing his first professional fight to Ultimate Fighter 14 winner John Dodson.
During his four fight winning streak, three of the four wins have come by submission and two of those wins have come in the first round.
Both fighters have only lost by decision and they will want to take the fight to the ground and look for a submission. With the UFC flyweight division being new to the UFC, the winner of this fight could be another win away from a title shot.
