A welterweight bout has been added to the UFC 182 card on January 3rd as Omari Akhmedov meets Mats Nilsson in a bout on the preliminary card.
The fight booking was recently added to the official fight card on the UFC website.
UFC 182 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on January 3rd and will be headlined by Jon Jones defending the UFC light heavyweight title against Daniel Cormier.
Akhmedov (13-2) made his UFC debut late last year and defeated Thiago Perpetuo by knockout at UFC Fight Night 32. Following that victory, he was booked to face Gunnar Nelson at UFC Fight Night 37 and was submitted in the first round.
Nilsson (11-3-1) is dropping down to the welterweight division and making his UFC debut as a middleweight. In his UFC debut, he lost to Luke Barnatt by TKO at UFC Fight Night 37 and seven of his eleven victories have come by stoppage.
