A rumored heavyweight bout for The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale is now official as Pat Barry will take on Shane Del Rosario. 
The fight had been rumored over the past week and the UFC has officially announced the fight.
Barry (7-5) was an assistant coach on Team Carwin and has lost lost three of his last four fights. After starting his career with four straight victories, he has gone 3-5 and all five of his losses have come by knockout or submission.
Del Rosario (11-1) is a former Strikeforce heavyweight and made his debut earlier this year, which he was defeated by Stipe Miocic at UFC 146. All of his career victories are by stoppage, with eight of those victories coming by knockout.
The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale takes place from The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on December 15th and will be headlined by a heavyweight bout as former interim heavyweight champion Shane Carwin takes on Roy Nelson.
