A heavyweight bout has been added to the UFC 184 fight card on February 28th in Los Angeles as Derrick Lewis will look for his third win in the promotion against Ruan Potts.
The fight booking was announced on Tuesday’s edition of The UFC Minute on UFC.com.
UFC 184 will come from the Staples Center and will be headlined by Chris Weidman defending the UFC middleweight title against Vitor Belfort.
Lewis (11-3, 1NC) opened his UFC career with two straight wins as he defeated Jack May and Guto Inocente by knockout in the first round. His winning streak was snapped back in September as he was defeated by Matt Mitrione at UFC Fight Night 50 by knockout.
Potts (8-3) has lost both of his fights in the UFC and both defeats have come by TKO/KO. His most recent defeat came in August as he lost to Anthony Hamilton on the preliminary card of UFC 177.
