  6. How can you say the UFC isn’t a monopoly? They bought out all their biggest competition: Pride, WEC, WFA, Strikeforce, ect. Also all these feeders to the UFC for ex: Titan, Invicta, RFA, MFC, Legacy, Cage Warriors, ect. Plus other promotions working with them/ don’t wanna compete, being friendly. The MMA media d-riding the UFC/ being pro UFC.. Btw when will Bellator 132, 133, 134, 135 cards be announced and have you heard any rumored fights?

    1. Do you think Viacom will ever buy the One FC? I don’t see Viacom buying WSOF bc of WSOF’s very good relationship with the UFC.

  8. Shane McMahon was gonna buy Pride when they were for sale, but instead they sold it to the UFC. What do you think would happen if Shane bought it? Do you think it would be like Bellator and have freak show fights or have fixed fights like Elite XC/ Pride/ KSW?

  10. I disagree with you Jason that if the Fertitta bros didn’t buy the UFC that alot of ppl wouldn’t have jobs/ MMA wouldn’t be as big or even around. Bc if they didn’t buy the UFC, someone else would’ve and it would be just as successful and maybe not that corrupt as it is now. Plus you can’t give all the credit to the UFC. Without these smaller promotions they wouldn’t even still be in business. Most of the fighters in the UFC are from 15 other promotions..

  11. My beef with Bellator is why release these great fighters and keep terrible ones with really bad records? It’s something I would never do and I don’t get why they would. Maybe they aren’t taking this seriously, maybe they just wanna sell it in a couple of yrs to the UFC. I prefer they sell it to someone else tho.

  12. Man, Bellator released a ton of ppl over the last few weeks. Some of the names are: Terry Etim, Wilcox, Herrado, Bassette, Nunes, Cleve, Bucci, Will Martinez, Ryan Martinez, Blagoi Ivanov, ect. The last 2 yrs Bellator has released over 150 fighters. The recent cuts don’t surprise me except for: Ivanov/Etim/ Nunes. Hbu?

    2. None of these cuts surprise me. They could bring back some of these guys to be ticket sellers for events in their area. For instance, Bessette and Cleve for the Mohegan show and Martinez for a potential event in Colorado

      1. Also cut Marlon Sandro, Rick Hawn. But the cuts they made over the last 2 yrs that really shocked me were: Shamhalaev, Vegh, Dez Green, Valavicius, Hawn, Ivanov, Sergej Grecicho, Etim, Ricardo Tirloni, Sultan Aliev, Askren, ect. Some guys they cut they brought back, but those guys suck. They don’t ever bring back the ppl they should. These fighters they cut are better than half their roster. There’s guys they should’ve cut instead that they didn’t. That’s why I say Bellator is a circus. Anyway I heard Rampage’s UFC return will be announced tonight on FN 58. Did Bellator and UFC work something out or they granted him his release? Also they could have brought back Askren when Dana said we don’t want him, but they didn’t try to resign him. Or they did, but One fc offered a better contract. If they had offered him what he’s worth then he’d still be their champ..

        1. They brought back Diego Marlon awesome! But I have no clue why they brought back Anthony Leon, Rossborough, ect. Also why haven’t they released Lavar, Pham, Tokoro, Baesman, Rivera, Alessio, Cochrane, couture, ect. These are the guys they should be releasing.. They keep guys who suck ass and release guys fans wanna see fight. Get your shit together Bellator…

  13. I get why they still have James Thompson bc he’s a draw. over 1 mil ppl watched him vs Prindle. And 10.1 mil ppl on youtube watched him vs Sapp. Ppl love the big dudes.

  14. Shawn Jordan, Luis Santos, Tsarev cuts surprised me too along time ago made by Bellator. Also why they didn’t sign Browne to a long term deal Idk and why they didn’t resign Lombard when they had a chance. I hated when Bjorn was in charge he’d let his champs/ big free agents talk to UFC to see what they’d offer. That was so stupid why not just resign them dumb, dumb.. I’m tired of bitching/ moaning about Bellator/ UFC, ect, but they give me a reason to hate em lol. Sorry bro I can be super annoying sometimes. I’m just so bored. Who do you think Rampage will fight in his UFC return? I think Shogun rematch.

        2. Now they’re gonna have 2 lawsuits against the UFC. Love it! Who do you think will win Viacom or Zuffa?

        4. Viacom could have sued Zuffa for talking to Eddie while he was still under contract with Bellator and even setting up a fight with Cerrone at 178. They could have tried to keep him bc UFC violated breech of contract. But instead they just released him a week later. Anyway they were gonna release him. Now nobody prolly wants to sign with Bellator. It’s gonna be hard to convince Brock to jump ship with a 360 type deal.

  15. Rampage was saying on Sherdog radio that who was the biggest name in Strikeforce. They never dealt with someone of my caliber referring to Bellator. Strikeforce had a lot big names for ex: T- Wood, DC, Barnett, Nick Diaz, Melendez, Rousey, Fedor, AA, Overeem, Rockhold, Kennedy, Shamrock, ect.

  16. Do you know the exact price WEC/Strikeforce/ WFA sold to the Zuffa for? I think Zuffa bought Pride for 70 mil (Their video library)

      1. Pro elite was gonna buy Strikeforce for 40 mil, but it didn’t work out. I heard that nobody knows the exact price it was sold for. Some places I see 32/34 or about 40 mil. You say 30 mil. But if it was true, Zuffa got one hell of a deal.

  17. When will Daniel Gallemore fight for Bellator again if ever? Will he be on their prelims in a future event? He’s 3-0 with them. The guy he beat is on their website roster, but not him.

    1. Do you know when Gallemore will fight again Jason?? Also is Monster’s deal with UFC exclusive? When do you see the full Bellator cards being announced? This yr I watched so much MMA it’s insane.

      1. Gallemore has been used on Kansas cards as a local ticket seller. Next fight is unknown right now. Once Monster deal is completed, I expect it to be an exclusive deal. Bellator 132 full card will be announced shortly.

        1. They’re some ppl that have fought for Bellator before they bring back, but they always say he’s debuting. Lol they don’t remember that the fighters already had fights with them awhile ago. For ex: DeLorenzi is 1-1 with them, but on the profile they don’t list his fight history. And Charles is 9-2 (1-1), but they don’t have his loss vs Mo. I bet there are plenty others like that too. I can’t believe that Vegh, Shamhalaev, Dez Green, Valavicius, Ivanov, ect releases don’t surprise you. I’m afraid more good fighters will be cut for no reason and instead keep terrible fighters with losing streaks.. Bellator MMA = Bad business.. I wonder what is Viacom’s goal/vision for Bellator MMA? Do you know?

        2. The vision is to put on fights that people want to see. I understand your frustration, but if the fighters they released were fighters that people tune into watch, they would still be there

You’re telling me you wouldn’t wanna see Thompson vs Ivanov or Kongo vs Ivanov, Vegh vs Valavicius, Shamhalaev vs Richman 2/ Karakhanyan/ Yamauchi, ect. these guys they release only have a couple of loses on their record and there’s good fights for them that could have been made. If I was Bellator matchmaker I’d be the best in MMA. Bc Joe Silva has the easiest job. It’s not hard to be the best when you have 550 fighters/ all the best ones too.

        4. Bellator is a TV show. They need to get ratings, to get better ad revenue and actually make money. No one is dropping what they are doing to watch Vegh vs. Valavicius. If Viacom and Bellator felt they were fighters that could draw eyeballs, they would still be on the roster.

        5. I get what you mean, but I think they would drop what they are doing to watch Thompson vs Ivanov and Kongo vs Ivanov. If over a mil ppl watched Thompson vs Pringles then 4sure more ppl would watch Thomson vs Ivanov and Kongo vs Ivanov. Also I think Lashley vs Thompson 2 will peak at 1.4 and Newton vs Liam 1.3/ Lima vs Daley 1. 6 mil. Hbu? Ivanov beat Lavar and Shamhalaev beat richman, but they get cut and the guys they beat are still there. Wtv this world is so fucked up nothing makes sense anymore…

        6. On peaks you mention, I think you are thoughts are a little high. Highest I would go for any of those fights is 1.2 million.

        8. We all got different opinions. 131 peaked over mil for all five fights. Idk if Friday will be a difference or not tho. Also 131 had alot other competition that day head to head. Friday is the worst day for Spike TV to have Bellator on at least put it 10-12 Est. Any word on Alberto Del Rio and Bellator? Also do you know what the other promotion that wants to sign him? I think it’s either UFC/ One FC.

        10. Also did you see my post on the Insiders Podcast about Bellator parting ways with Jade? Idk why the hell they would do that. I doubt she was costing too much money. I would’ve got rid of Mercedes instead. What do you think about them firing Jade?

  18. I read an article and it said it is also known that Lesnar has had discussions with UFC. How can they have discussions he’s still under contract with the WWE??

  19. UFC and WWE both don’t see each other as competition. They say you can’t compare the two. One’s entertainment and the other is a sport. I think both are entertainment and both of them have some of the best athletes in the world. I think they’re competition with each other. Lorenzo even once said it in an interview, but now he will prolly deny it. What do you think Jason?

  20. Everyone is saying that Bellator went head to head with UFC and same place too. But it’s the opposite UFC counter programmed them. They have not been to CT in yrs and they never do Friday shows. Do you agree with the release of Terry Etim? And do you know when Sakai/ Sornovskiy will fight for Bellator again? Sakai had a slug fest in his last fight at 122. I don’t agree with the release of Blagoi Ivanov. Idk how you could release one of your best hw’s esp when that isn’t your strongest div.

  21. Plus these are notable fighters Bellator be releasing. I just don’t get it. And they keep and bring back guys who are terrible/ on losing streaks. It’s hard to root for the underdog when they keep making stupid business decisions..

      1. I asked bc Luke Thomas read part of an article about it. Also did you listen to the Sherdog radio? A UFC fantard asked TJ to ask Pitbull why aren’t you in the UFC. Um maybe bc he’s under contract with Bellator you dumb fuck… UFC fans are so stupid and spoiled. There’s over 550 fighters in the UFC and they have like 95% of the best fighters in the world/ 97% of the MMA market share and UFC fans want more, more, more.. Also on UFC’s 20 yrs website it says ” Explore why the UFC is the fastest growing sport in the world.” Can we give credit to all the other Promotions that made the UFC to what it is today and stop calling UFC the sport/ giving all glory to them… MMA needs competition and I hope that the lawsuit against the UFC provides needed change in MMA.

  23. I saw the Jimmy Smith video and on the comments one guy says nice nice very nice and some UFC d- rider says ufc is the best. The UFC would be nothing without promotions like Strikeforce/ Pride/ WEC/ Bellator/ Invicta/Titan/MFC, ect… Ppl give all the credit to the UFC and they don’t deserve it. I’m tired of all the piece of shit UFC fans hijacking everything Bellator. They hate competition to the UFC more than the UFC does. Even tho I don’t think they’re competition. UFC has the worst fans in the world.. Just remember nothing last 4ever not even the UFC.. UFC fans are the absolute worst.

  24. I’ve been noticing a lot that UFC has been copying Bellator lately. The most recent where they have the name in gold like Bellator does. They also copy WWE a ton too, but everybody copies the WWE. When will you have Scott Coker on your podcast Jason?
