The next World Series of Fighting event will take place on January 17th in Las Vegas and two new fights have been added to the fight card with the matchups being Brian Cobb vs. Johnny Nunez and Krasimir Mladenov vs. Jesse Taylor.
The fight bookings were initially reported by MMA Junkie and have now been confirmed by the promotion.
World Series of Fighting 17 will take place from Planet Hollywood and will be headlined by a welterweight bout as Jake Shields meets Brian Foster.
Cobb (20-8) has gone 1-1 in the promotion and is last appearance came in June of last year as he was defeated by current World Series of Fighting lightweight champion Justin Gaethje. He has won five of his last seven fights and three of those wins have come by stoppage. Nunez (5-0) is out of Las Vegas and won his promotional debut against Ozzy Dugulubgov in March. Three of his five wins have come by stoppage and two of those wins came in the first round.
Mladenov (11-0) made his World Series of Fighting debut last year and has won both of his fights in the promotion by unanimous decision. His most recent victory came in June as he defeated Angel DeAnda. Taylor (27-11) has lost back to back fights after being on a seven fight winning streak. His most recent defeat came outside of the promotion as he was submitted by Trey Houston.
