When the UFC announced that Jon Jones next title defense would come against Chael Sonnen, UFC President Dana White said that it looked like the fight would happen in New Jersey.
On Monday, the UFC officially announced that they will be heading to the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey for the fight card and the main card will be seen on pay-per-view.
This will mark the first time the UFC has returned to the Prudential Center since UFC 128 and this will be the fourth UFC event held at the building.
At UFC 128 last year, Jones defeated Mauricio “Shogun” Rua by TKO in the third round to become the UFC light heavyweight champion and his title defense against Sonnen will be his fifth title defense.
The UFC has not announced when tickets for this fight card will go on sale and stay tuned to TheMMAReport.com for updates on this UFC fight card.
