The medical suspensions for Bellator 133 have been released by the California State Athletic Commission and Melvin Manhoef has been handed a mandatory six month suspension following his knockout defeat to Alexander Shlemenko.
The commission released the medical suspensions on Tuesday and the suspensions were forwarded to The MMA Report after they were requested.
Bellator 133 took place this past Friday evening at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California and the event aired live on Spike TV.
The complete Bellator 133 medical suspensions are below:
- Alexander Shlemenko: Suspended 180 days and no contact for 180 days for back injury and possible fracture right big toe/foot, must be cleared by doctor.
- Melvin Manhoef: Suspended 180 days (Mandatory Rest).
- Daniel Weichel: Suspended 7 days (Mandatory Rest).
- Pat Curran: Suspended 60 days and no contact for 60 days for cut over left eyelid, must be cleared by doctor.
- Julia Budd: Suspended 180 days and no contact for 180 days for fracture right big toe/foot, must be cleared by doctor.
- Gabrielle Holloway: Suspended 7 days (Mandatory Rest).
- Chris Honeycutt: Suspended 7 days (Mandatory Rest).
- Clayton MacFarlane: Suspended 45 days and no contact for 30 days (Mandatory Suspension for TKO).
- Mason Fowler: Suspended 7 days (Mandatory Rest).
- Marko Damiani: Suspended 45 days and no contact for 30 days (Mandatory Suspension for TKO).
- Adam Piccolotti: Suspended 7 days (Mandatory Rest).
- Andrew Ramm: Suspended 7 days (Mandatory Rest).
- John Contestrano: Suspended 7 days (Mandatory Rest).
- Ryan Tobar: Suspended 45 days and no contact for 30 days (Mandatory Suspension for KO); Suspended 60 days and no contact for 60 days for cut on forehead, must be cleared by doctor.
- John Elias: Suspended 7 days (Mandatory Rest).
- Cody Sons: Suspended 45 days and no contact for 30 days (Mandatory Suspension for KO).
