The co-main event of UFC 189 on July 11 will be a title fight as Robbie Lawler will defend the welterweight title against Rory MacDonald in a rematch of their 2013 bout.
UFC President Dana White announced the fight booking during a press conference on Wednesday.
UFC 189 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena and will be headlined by a title fight as Jose Aldo defends the featherweight title against Conor McGregor.
Lawler (27-8) won the UFC welterweight title in December as he defeated Johny Hendricks by unanimous decision at UFC 181. He won a performance of the night bonus against Saffiedine and has won a fight night bonus in two of his last three fights.
