Lesnar announced his decision on ESPN today.

“It was a very hard decision for me,” Lesnar said. “I am at a stage in my career — and it was just hard for me. The fighter inside of me wants to compete. The father and the husband — I am an older cave man now so I make wiser cave man decisions. I am here to say that my legacy in the octagon is over. However, my legacy this Sunday at WrestleMania will not be my last.”

“I am hanging up all thoughts — and that is why I am coming here. I wanted for people to hear me. It was a hard decision to make and it took me a year. I thought about this for a year. At the end of the day, it’s all about me wanting to have fun. The last two months, I have been training to get back into the octagon. Felt physically great and something lacked mentally and that is not good.”

According to WWE’s Triple H on Twitter, Lesnar has signed a multi-year contract with the company. Lesnar explained during his interview on ESPN that Vince McMahon made him an offer last night that he could not refuse.
