The latest fight booking to July’s UFC Fight Night 71 in San Diego is a welterweight bout as Alan Jouban will meet Matt Dwyer in a bout that could end up on the main card.
The fight booking was confirmed to Fox Sports on Wednesday by the UFC.
UFC Fight Night 71 will come from the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California on July 15 and will be headlined by a heavyweight bout as former UFC champion Frank Mir meets Todd Duffee.
Jouban (11-3) has won two of his three fights in the UFC since entering the promotion twelve months ago. Both of his wins in the UFC have come by knockout in the first round and he is coming off a win against Richard Walsh at UFC 184. Dwyer (8-2) also made his UFC debut last year and has gone 1-1 in the promotion. After losing to Albert Tumenov at UFC Fight Night 54, he scored his first victory in the UFC against William Macario in February at UFC Fight Night 61.
