A lightweight bout has been added to the UFC on FOX 16 card in July as Ramsey Nijem will meet Erik Koch on the preliminary card.
The fight booking was reported by Fox Sports on Wednesday as the UFC confirmed the fight to the media outlet.
UFC on FOX 16 will come from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois on July 25th and will be headlined a title rematch as T.J. Dillashaw defends the bantamweight title against former champion Renan Barao.
Nijem (9-5) is coming off a defeat to Carlos Diego Ferreira at UFC 177 and this snapped a two fight winning streak. He is 5-4 since entering the UFC through The Ultimate Fighter and he holds a TKO victory over Beneil Dariush. Koch (14-4) returned to the lightweight division last year at UFC 170 when he defeated Rafaello Oliveira at UFC 170. Just like Nijem, he was defeated in his last fight as he lost to Daron Cruickshank at UFC Fight Night 40.
