UFC 186 took place on Saturday night at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and was headlined by Demetrious Johnson retaining the flyweight title with an armbar submission with one second left in the fight.
Johnson controlled the fight from the opening bell and appeared to be on his way to a decision victory. In the final ten seconds of the fight, we went for a submission and Horiguchi tapped right before the final bell sounded.

It’s hard to describe the buzz in this building right now.

It’s so quiet in this arena right now. Can hear every step the fighters take around the octagon.

This storyline is well publicized by now but it is crazy how a DJ fight transports in a Japan crowd. There is no noise during his rounds.

Flyweights have amazing base and balance. Trying to hold them down is like holding a feral cat down to get vaccinations at the vet.

Too busy enjoying this fight to give a rat’s ass why other people might not like watching flyweights, sorry.

Sitting on press row for a Demetrious Johnson fight and fans are booing and slowly filing out. Sadly I’ve experienced this scene before.

Crowd is arguing with itself. This happened during Vancouver Johnson fight too. Boos, followed by aggressive counter cheers.

See that modified x-pass from Johnson? He’s got skills. Not much salesmanship, but he’s got skills.

It’s over. Demetrious Johnson submits Kyoji Horiguchi in the dwindling seconds of the fifth round. Crowd goes wild. There we go.

DJ wins via armbar with 1, yes 1, second left in the entire fight. Great finish for the flyweight king.

Demetrious Johnson earns the submission at 4:59 of Round 5 for the latest stoppage victory ever in a UFC fight. Incredible.
