An elbow injury has forced Anthony Pettis to pull out of his UFC on FOX 16 bout against Myles Jury and stepping up to replace Pettis against Jury will be Edson Barboza.
The injury and new fight booking was announced by the UFC on late Thursday evening.
UFC on FOX 16 will come from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois and will be headlined a title rematch as T.J. Dillashaw defends the bantamweight title against former champion Renan Barao.
Barboza (15-3) is coming off a decision defeat against Michael Johnson in February and is 2-2 in his last four fights. Since entering the UFC in 2010, he has nine wins and four of those have come by TKO/KO. Jury (15-1) will also enter this fight following a defeat as he lost to Donald Cerrone in January. He is 6-1 in the UFC and has wins over Michael Johnson, Mike Ricci, and Diego Sanchez.
