The Ultimate Fighter 21 Finale has a new venue as the event will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will be headlined by a previously scheduled welterweight bout between Jake Ellenberger and Stephen Thompson.
UFC officials announced the new venue and main event booking on Friday morning.
Ellenberger (30-9) is coming off a submission win in February against Josh Koscheck and the victory snapped a three fight losing streak. It was his sixth career win by submission and first since 2006.
Thompson (10-1) is currently on a four fight winning streak and his most recent win came in September of last year against Patrick Cote. He was scheduled to fight in February, but an injury forced him to pull out of the fight.
