A middleweight bout has been added to July’s The Ultimate Fighter 21 Finale as Dan Miller will return to the octagon for the first time since 2013 when he meets Trevor Smith.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Friday.
The Ultimate Fighter 21 Finale will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on July 12 and will be headlined by a welterweight bout as Jake Ellenberger meets Stephen Thompson.
Miller (14-7, 1NC) has been out of action since losing to Jordan Mein at UFC 158 in March of 2013. He was scheduled to return in December against Daniel Sarafian, but he pulled out of the bout due to undisclosed reasons. Smith (12-6) is 2-3 since entering the UFC in 2013 and is coming off a knockout defeat against Caio Magalhaes. His last win came one year ago as he defeated Ultimate Fighter alum Tor Troeng by decision.
