The main event and co-main event of UFC Fight Night 72 have been announced as Michael Bisping meets Thales Leites in the headlining bout of the card, while the co-main event will see Ross Pearson facing Evan Dunham.
Both fight bookings were announced by the UFC on early Monday morning.
UFC Fight Night 72 will come from the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland on July 18 and the event is expected to be streamed on UFC Fight Pass.
Bisping (26-7) will be fighting in Europe for the first time since 2010 when he defeated Yoshihiro Akiyama at UFC 120. He has alternated win and losses in his last nine fights and is coming off a win against C.B. Dollaway at UFC 186. Leites (25-4) is currently on an eight fight winning streak and five of those wins came in the UFC. He has won a fight night bonus in his last two fights and his last win came in January against Tim Boetsch.
Pearson (17-8, 1NC) is coming off a performance of the night bonus victory in March against Sam Stout. His last four wins have come by TKO/KO and is 4-2, 1NC in his last seven fights. Dunham (15-6) snapped a three fight losing streak in January when he defeated Rodrigo Damm at UFC 182. It was his first win in nearly two years and he is 4-4 in his last eight fights.
