Dana White: I will make GSP vs. Anderson

Following UFC 154, UFC President Dana White did an interview on the FUEL TV post fight show, which he proclaimed that he will make a super fight between welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and middleweight champion Anderson Silva.

“I’m going to make the GSP-Silva fight,” White said. “GSP is sore, he just got hit by a bus, and he hasn’t fought in 18 months. But I’ll make this fight. They’ll fight and it’ll probably be around May. It’ll either be in Toronto; Dallas, Texas, or Brazil.”

After his fight last night, St-Pierre would not commit to taking a fight with Silva and White will give St-Pierre some time before he will talk with him.

White did say that say that he does plan on sitting down with Silva in about two weeks to figure out when a potential super fight could take place.

“I don’t think it’ll be an epic negotiation period. Both of these guys are under contract. We’ll sit down with Anderson probably in the two weeks, and then we’ll sit down with GSP.”

Silva recently told Tatame that he planned on not returning until the end of 2013, but White does not believe that to be the case.

White’s full interview on FUEL TV is below, which includes him saying Johny Hendricks will take a fight before getting a shot at the title and his thoughts on the end of the preliminary bout between Patrick Cote and Alessio Sakara.
