A lightweight bout has been added to next month’s UFC Fight Night 72 card in Scotland as Jake Matthews will meet Mickael Lebout on the preliminary card.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Friday morning.
UFC Fight Night 72 will come from the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland on July 18 and will be headlined by a middleweight bout as Michael Bisping meets Thales Leites.
Matthews (8-1) entered the UFC last year and scored back to back victories in the promotion. He would suffer his first career defeat in his last fight as he was submitted by James Vick at UFC Fight Night 65. Lebout (13-4-1, 1NC) lost his UFC debut in April when he was defeated by Sergio Moraes at UFC Fight Night 64. The defeat snapped a seven fight unbeaten streak and it was his first defeat in nearly two years.
