The first fight booking for the CES MMA 30 card on August 14 at the Twin River Casino in Lincoln, Rhode Island has been announced and Dan Lauzon will meet Chip Moraza-Pollard in a welterweight bout.
CES MMA officials announced the fight booking on Friday afternoon.
Tickets for CES MMA 30 are $40, $55, $100 and $125 for front-row VIP, and are available for purchase online at www.CESMMA.com or www.TwinRiver.com, by phone at 401-724-2253 or at the Twin River Players Club.
Lauzon (17-5) has been out of action since 2013 when he lost to Justin Gaethje at WSOF 6. Prior to the fight, he had won five in a row and four of those wins came by stoppage.
“When we see each other at the fights, we’re friendly. But come Fight Night, we won’t be friends. Afterwards, we’ll be cool again,” said Lauzon. Fans can expect a quick finish. I don’t expect the fight to hit the ground; I expect to win by knockout.”
Moraza-Pollard (9-8) is 2-2 in his last four fights and is coming off a decision lost at WSOF 20 against Matt Secor. Five of his wins have come by stoppage and this will be his fourth fight in the CES MMA cage.
“Me and Dan are cool, but we’re going to put on a good, exciting fight to watch — those are the only kinds of fights that I like being in,” Moraza-Pollard said. “I know that Dany likes to bang, I like to bang. Hopefully we’ll just stand there and beat the hell out of each other and grab some drinks afterwards.”
More fight bookings for CES MMA 30 will be announced shortly by the promotion.
