Jared Cannonier recently pulled out of his UFC Fight Night 73 bout against Jonathan Wilson due to injury and stepping up on short notice to meet Wilson will be Chris Dempsey.
The new fight booking was initially reported by MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani on Twitter and Dempsey has now confirmed he is stepping up in weight to face Wilson.
UFC Fight Night 73 will come from the Bridgestone Arena on August 8 and will be headlined by former title challenger Glover Teixeira meeting Ovince Saint Preux meeting in a battle of top ten UFC light heavyweights.
