Two lightweight bouts have been added to December’s UFC 194 as John Makdessi returns from a broken jaw to meet Yancy Medeiros, and Ultimate Fighter Brazil winner Leonardo Santos will meet Kevin Lee.
Both fight bookings were announced on Friday.
UFC 194 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on December 12 and will be headlined by a featherweight title unification bout as champion Jose Aldo meets interim champion Conor McGregor.
Makdessi (13-4) broke his jaw at UFC 187 when he was defeated by Donald Cerrone. He is 4-2 in his last six fights and his last two wins have come by TKO/KO. Medeiros (11-3, 1NC) will also enter this fight following a lost as he was defeated by Dustin Poirier in June. He is 2-3, 1NC in the UFC and both wins came by submission.
Santos (14-3-1) won The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 2 as a welterweight and is 2-0-1 in the UFC lightweight division. His most recent fight came in March as he submitted Tony Martin at UFC Fight Night 62. Lee (11-1) has won four in a row since losing his UFC debut against Al Iaquinta. Three of those wins have come by decision and he is coming off a submission win against James Moontasri.
