A lightweight bout has been added to the UFC 156 card in February as Evan Dunham will meet Gleison Tibau.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Wednesday evening and the fight will likely take place on the preliminary portion of the fight card.
Dunham (13-3) opened his career with 11 straight victories, but has gone 2-3 in his last five fights. One of those loses came against Sean Sherk at UFC 119 by split decision, which many people felt that he should have won the fight.
His last fight in the octagon came at UFC 152 in September and he was defeated by TJ Grant by unanimous decision. He won the fight of the night bonus and it was the second straight fight that he won that fight night bonus.
Tibau (26-8) first entered the UFC in 2006 as a welterweight and has won six of his last eight fights, which includes a win over Francisco Trinaldo at UFC 153. His only lost in his last five fights came at UFC 148 against Khabib Nurmagomeov.
He has gone 11-6 in the UFC, with seven of his victories coming by decision. He holds a submission victory over Rafaello Oliveira at UFC 130, which he won the submission of the night bonus.
UFC 156 takes place from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on February 2nd and will be headlined by Jose Aldo defending his UFC featherweight title against former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar.
